While getting the proper shoes may be the first thing on your mind as you venture into a new training cycle, a sports bra is an important yet often overlooked piece of athletic gear. A properly fitted sports bra removes a major barrier to exercise, allowing the focus to shift from discomfort to the workout at hand. Unlike other parts of the body, breasts don’t contain muscle; they rely on skin and connective tissue for support. Without adequate stabilization during movement, that tissue is placed under repetitive stress that can lead to discomfort, and even lasting damage – yikes!
