Our latest challenge, PLANKSgiving, is starting next week, and runs Nov. 18-27. One of the women who registered for our challenge is Genevieve Bulac, Mrs. Minnesota, USA 2024. At Moms on the Run — a woman-owned, Minnesota-based fitness company — we know that healthy moms inspire healthy families, and we wanted to learn a little more about her and her motivation for joining our challenge. Read on to learn a little more of her story.
“I’m so excited to share my inspiring journey as a proud Filipino woman. I was crowned as Mrs. Minnesota, USA 2024. My motivation is not only to empower people in the Philippines but worldwide. I am an end-hunger advocate — helping families, children and homeless affected by hunger, which is driven by personal experience. Through community service, my family and I continue to make a difference since my time in the Philippines. I know how hard it is to not have food on the table. I’m currently involved in Risen Savior Mission, a charitable organization supporting children in the Philippines.
Fitness plays an important role in my life. After giving birth to my two beautiful girls, I faced weight gain and criticisms, but I refused to let that discourage me. Instead, I focused on self improvement, embracing positivity and perseverance. I’m so honored to represent the state as Minnesota’s Fit Mrs in the upcoming America’s Fit Miss pageant. This is an opportunity to prove that marriage, motherhood and age are not barriers in achieving our dreams. I embrace fitness and motivating other women in their journey.
I discovered Moms on the Run on Facebook and I find it very inspiring and essential for all moms. It’s a good platform for those seeking friendship, fitness and community to connect with others embracing a healthier lifestyle. My kids are my mini motivators, they always remind me to keep on track.”
