Training Tip with Carrie: Annoying Things Part 1

Listen in as Moms on the Run National Fitness Director, Olympian Carrie Tollefson, shares Annoying Things Part 1 of 4. Today she is starting a lighthearted series about annoying things that people say to runners or that runners do.  When people find out you’re a runner, how many times have you heard this one?

“Hi everybody, I’m Olympian Carrie Tollefson and also your National Fitness Director at Moms on the Run. And today’s Tuesday training tip, we’re gonna have some fun and talk about the funny things or most annoying things that people say to us as runners or walkers. And also, maybe the annoying things that we say to people.

So, this is the first video, and I think one of the most annoying things that people say to me is if I’ve said, oh, I went for a long run or I did a workout or whatever, they’ll say, ‘Why, were you being chased?’ And I just think that’s annoying for some reason.

Like, yes, I’ve made that joke before, but no, I’m not being chased and I do not want to be chased. I just like to run. So, can’t we just be out for a run? I don’t know.

It’s just annoying to me.”
