![]() More than 330 runners joined us for this year's Moms on the Run 5K/10K and Kids Run at beautiful Lake Phalen in St. Paul and online virtually. For our in-person event, we were greeted with perfect temps for a race! If you ran with us, find your race results here. We also have a Flickr photo album to which you may download any photos. The race featured fun for the whole family. Kids were able to take part in balloon art, face painting, crazy hair and sign making (yay, moms!), before their own 1/2 mile "Run with an Olympian" and kiddie dash. Our after-party included prizes and food trucks: Inferno Wood Fire Pizza, VB & J's (smoothies and vegan goodies), and Chip's Thai Gourmet Kitchen (pad Thai, fried rice, egg rolls and chicken wings). A big thank you to the wonderful volunteers who helped make the event run smoothly. We're so grateful for you! ![]() Thank you to our generous sponsors. Summit Orthopedics, the official sports medicine partner of Moms on the Run, provided locations for our pre-race packet pickup and our race day medical tent coverage. Summit offers the Twin Cities and greater Minnesota with comprehensive orthopedic care. Visit summitortho.com to find their walk-in clinics and more. Thank you also to TC Running Company, who generously provided prizes; UCAN, for the much-needed energy and nutrition; Kowalski's for water and bananas, Pearson's Candy for sweet and salty snacks, and Rachel Baar with Beautycounter and Norwex for the generous prize baskets. We appreciate you! ![]() Inspirational Member of the Year We also named our 2023 Most Inspirational Member of the Year - Pine City (MN) Moms on the Run member Rosalie Spahr. Rosalie started her journey in 2018. It wasn’t a running journey, however, but one that would save her life. In January of 2018, she received the call after a routine mammogram that she had invasive ductal carcinoma — breast cancer. The year was full of surgery, chemotherapy and radiation treatments. During that time, she made it her goal to run the Donna Half Marathon in Jacksonville, Florida. Proceeds from that run go to breast cancer research and helping families who need financial assistance during treatments. Four months after finishing her own treatment, our honoree completed the Donna Half (along with her husband). After the race, having never been a runner before, our inspiring member decided to join Moms on the Run to continue her efforts to improve her health — and support her friend who had started a Moms on the Run franchise. She has shown up for herself and her team ever since. When asked what she’s learned about herself since joining Moms on the Run, Rosalie shared, “I have learned that, as an introvert, I can enjoy being part of a group! I enjoy being an encourager and laughter-provider while pushing myself to improve my own endurance.” Congrats, Rosalie! Read more of her story.
