​Moms on the Run is an instructor-led fitness program with coaching to motivate, educate and encourage you on your fitness journey. Whether you’re training for your first 5K, training for a longer distance, or just looking for walking buddies, we have a program for you! You’ll make new friends, find accountability, and have fun while working toward a healthier lifestyle.

Signature Training Program April 25-August 25, 2022

Our cardiovascular interval training classes for all levels include strength training, stretching and education. Our Learn to Run program will help you safely build up to your first 5k race. Walkers and experienced runners, improve your speed and endurance with an interval training schedule designed to maximize your fitness levels.

  • Interval Training: Wednesdays at 6:00 pm and Saturdays at 8:00 am at Central Park Victoria West
  • Endurance Run: Mondays at 6:00 pm at various locations around Roseville​
  • Sunrise Run: Thursdays at 6:30 am, starting June 16, at various locations

​**Roseville participants are also able to join classes offered in New Brighton.

Monthly subscribers will receive access to any class available throughout all sessions (no need to register for future programs - you will automatically be enrolled.)  Subscribers will have the choice to either an unlimited class subscription (attend as many classes as you like), or 1X/week.  In addition, subscribers will receive multiple perks and bonuses for being part of our monthly subscription programs, such as:  
  • FREE bonus and pop-up classes
  • Membership to our private Facebook group
  • Select branded merchandise

How it works:
Choose between the two monthly subscription options.  If you subscribe to our unlimited options, you can attend ALL indoor, outdoor and virtual classes during ANY session (no need to register in advance).  If you subscribe to the 1X/week, you can attend any one class of your choice each week, plus enjoy all of the perks and benefits of our unlimited subscription membership.

INTERVAL TRAINING WITH STRENGTH30 minutes of cardio + strength & stretching

These classes use cardio intervals to improve metabolism and cardiovascular fitness.  Beginning runners will learn to run, moving from mostly walking to running as they progress, with the goal of completing a 5K distance at the end of the season. Experienced runners will complete 30 minutes of interval training  to improve their running speed and fitness levels, with workouts designed by our National Fitness Director, Olympian Carrie Tollefson. A short strength training component, stretching, and education conclude the class.

Our weekly steady paced cardio workouts are designed to help participants build endurance and either increase their mileage, maintain their running base, or add in an additional interval workout. Participants typically walk or jog for 30 to 45+ minutes with longer options available for those training for a 10K, half marathon or beyond.

Yoga for Runners


With the needs of runners in mind, this virtual class will help you prepare for your weekly workouts, restore your body and calm your mind for the challenges of the week ahead. Keep your muscles long and strong while using yoga to improve breathing, flexibility and core strength. This class is available live and on demand.

OWNER AND HEAD COACH ANNA CARLSON

​I am very excited in my second year as owner of the Roseville and St. Anthony/New Brighton Moms on Run locations!  I started running about 12 years ago, inspired by my youngest daughter Maya who has many health challenges.  I joined MOTR in 2013 as a participant, expecting to stay for one season to help me make running more of a routine.  The community that MOTR provides drew me in and got me hooked.  I haven't missed a season since!  I became a volunteer coach in 2016 and love working with women at whatever their fitness goals might be.  My spouse and I have four daughters and six fur babies (three dogs and three cats).    I am an EL teacher at a kindergarten center as well, and fluent in Spanish. I have run four marathons, one trail and three road.   One highlight of my running career was during my first marathon in 2019 that I ran in honor of my daughter Maya.  I got to push her across the finish line!  I am so excited to work with all of you and have you as part of our big Moms on the Run family!

HEAD COACH Rachel Hickok

I am so excited to be coaching our team this year! I joined Moms on the Run in the fall 2015 season - I was just 10 weeks post-partum from my twins, and I needed a way to get exercise and connect with other moms. I was "not a runner," or so I thought! But it turns out running with friends is a ton of fun! I ran my first 10K the following summer, then a half the next year, then a trail race the next... and in 2019 I ran the Chicago Marathon and joined the coaching team with Coach Nicole. I love supporting women as they set, work towards, and achieve new goals. Let me know I how I can support you! Your "mom body" may not do the same things your "pre-kids" body did, but that doesn't mean it isn't capable of reaching new, powerful goals! I also run for my mental health - I am the Director of Development at People Incorporated Mental Health Services - encouraging moms especially to take time and space to care for their physical and mental health is a personal "soapbox" passion of mine. I have three elementary-aged kids with my husband, Ryan, and when I'm not at work or running, you'll likely find me camping, hiking, or reading a book. Let's do this, ladies!
