Our coached group runs and workout classes cater to all fitness levels. The diverse range of workout classes, running plans, and half and full marathon training programs improves strength, flexibility, speed and endurance. But we’re not just about fitness – it’s about forging meaningful connections along the way.

SPRING AND SUMMER TRAINING NEARBY

Commit to get fit!  Keep your muscles strong and your metabolism boosted over the summer months with a mix of training dedicated to building a variety into your cardio and strength training routine.  Please join us in nearby cities or at our Saturday run in Long Lake Park (meets at Edgewood Middle) by registering for classes with our Fridley – Mounds View group. We also have classes at Como Park in St. Paul!

COACHES WANTED

We are looking to offer more classes locally in New Brighton & St. Anthony as soon as we are able to expand our coaching team. Learn more about coaching here! For the time being, we are combining with nearby groups in Mounds View and Fridley! These are offered through Fridley Moms on the Run.

WINTER CLASS SCHEDULE - TOGEHER WITH FRIDLEY - MOUNDS VIEW

This one hour class provides a great HIIT workout!  We do a 30 minute endurance run with proper warmup and cool down, then keep you moving with a variety of strength exercises to prevent injuries and boost fitness. We encourage you to bring two sets of dumbbells to maximize strength training, but will engage in a variety of body weight exercises as well. 

This class meets with Fridley at Locke Park.

Our specialty virtual class meets weekly via Zoom with Coach Stacy. 30 minutes to strengthen and tone!  Up the intensity of your weight training routine to build muscular strength and endurance, with a special focus on core training.  Modifications are available for all fitness levels. Recommended equipment: an exercise mat, resistance bands and weights (5 – 15 pound dumbbells) 

Our weekly steady paced cardio workouts are designed to help participants build endurance and either increase their mileage, maintain their running base, or add in an additional interval workout. Meet at Caribou Coffee in Spring Lake Park on Buchanan St and 81st Ave.

COACH ANNA

I am very excited to be the head coach of New Brighton/St. Anthony Moms on Run!  I started running about 13 years ago, inspired by my youngest daughter Maya who has many health challenges.

I joined Moms on the Run in 2013 as a participant, expecting to stay for one season to help me make running more of a routine.  The community that MOTR provides drew me in and got me hooked.  I haven’t missed a season since!

I started coaching with MOTR in 2016 and love working with women and whatever their fitness goals might be.  My spouse and I have four daughters and six fur babies (three dogs and three cats).  I am an EL teacher at a kindergarten center as well, and fluent in Spanish. I have run four marathons, one trail and three road.   One highlight of my running career was during my first marathon in 2019 that I ran in honor of my daughter Maya. I got to push her across the finish line!  I am so excited to work with all of you and have you as part of our big Moms on the Run family!

COACH AMY

Hey y’all! I’m Amy Brady, and I have been a volunteer coach with Moms on the Run for over 3 years. I joined Moms on the Run 6 years ago after the birth of my second child. I was hesitant even to try it because I really.did.not.like.running. Turns out, I was just doing it wrong! Moms on the Run provided a reliable training program to build my strength, endurance, and confidence as a runner. I went from being unable to run a mile without stopping to tackling distances of 5k, 10k, Half Marathon, 25k, and even a virtual marathon during Covid.

To me, Moms on the Run has been about so much more than fitness. It has brought me together with an incredible community of women—across multiple ages and stages in life—who are inclusive, supportive, and tons of fun. In my role as a coach, I have found great inspiration in supporting others to meet their fitness goals and have fun along the way.

COACH STACY

Hi, my name is Stacy Severson and this is my 9th year coaching with Moms on the Run!  My love of running really developed when I was in college. I was the kid in grade school… and then high school, who dreaded running a mile. I never felt like I “looked” like a runner. As I met more runners, I quickly learned that the running community is made up of all ages, shapes and sizes.  If you are working to get out there to run, no matter the pace, you’re a runner! I am not a speedy runner, but have lots of energy and endurance and love running 10 mile and half marathon distances.

I coach with Moms on the Run for the amazing friendships, inclusive community of women, and incredible support! I love the diversity of women in our group and the variety of experiences they share. Seeing our members reach their goals is completely inspiring to me. I love being a part of helping others find joy in the journey and learn to love to run!

Mother's Day weekend, May 9 or 10

You are officially invited to a Mother's Day weekend PARTY! Celebrate Moms — and strong women everywhere — at a special class and social event that will take place either Saturday or Sunday, May 9 or 10, at participating locations around the country. We will be meeting up locally to have a casual, all-levels, Moms on the Run style workout, followed by some refreshments and fun. Meet other like-minded local women and get some girlfriend time! You deserve it, Moms!

SPRING AND SUMMER

SIGNATURE TRAINING

Our signature training program lets you attend classes from 1 to 5 times per week. We strongly recommend choosing an interval class at least once a week, which includes a higher level of structure and support. From walkers to runners, women will start at their own level and progress throughout the season.

FALL

STRENGTH + CARDIO BOOT CAMP

Our strength and cardio boot camp offers a variety of workout options to help you get fit. We’ll help maximize your metabolism by providing run/walk high intensity interval training (HIIT) at your level. Enhance your fitness level by improving strength, muscle tone, speed and agility.

WINTER

POLAR RUN AND INDOOR TRAINING

Our Polar run offers you a way to maintain the running endurance you built up during the summer and fall, while staying accountable and motivating during the long, cold winter months.

We also host virtual and indoor strength-training classes.

MARATHON AND HALF MARATHON TRAINING PLANS

Moms on the Run offers training programs and social media groups to current customers who are training for a marathon or half marathon.

Our training plans have been designed by our National Fitness Director, Olympian Carrie Tollefson.
