For the past eight years, Mari Lynn has been an anchor of her Moms on the Run community. She is the kind of teammate who shows up for others — on the trail, in life, and in countless small but meaningful ways that embody what Moms on the Run is all about.
Her generosity extends far beyond running. She’s the person who helps a teammate clean out an attic as a surprise birthday gift for their child, assists another with the difficult logistics of losing a family member, or cheers in the audience at a musical performance for a teammate’s child. Her presence is always steady, compassionate, and encouraging. She gives freely of her time not only to MOTR but also to her community — volunteering with her church, supporting local groups, and being that trusted neighbor who shows up with a home-cooked meal in hard times or waters your plants while you’re away.
What makes her so inspiring is her spirit. She is genuine, thoughtful, kind, and relentlessly positive. She sees the best in others, meets people without judgment, and brings empathy to every interaction. Her support is never about recognition — it’s about lifting others up.
Mari has attended an impressive 60 classes during the spring/summer season, consistently pushing herself through interval training, virtual strength sessions, and nearly every early-bird run. While the Friday group gathered at 5:45 a.m., Mari Lynn was already out there at 5:20 to log extra miles. Her dedication has paid off — she’s increased both her speed and endurance, and she will soon be running her very first half marathon.
