At Coon Rapids-Bunker Hills Moms on the Run, we’re all about inspiring and transforming women (not just moms) through a lifestyle of fitness, fun and friendship. Whether you’re looking to walk, learn to run, or tackle another marathon, we’re here to support you every step of the way.

Our coached group runs and workout classes cater to all fitness levels. The diverse range of workout classes, running plans, and half and full marathon training programs improves strength, flexibility, speed and endurance. But we’re not just about fitness – it’s about forging meaningful connections along the way.

SIGNATURE TRAINING SPRING AND SUMMER CLASS SCHEDULE

No impact strength and stretching. Excellent injury prevention for runners!

Each 60-minute class typically includes 30 minutes of cardio intervals for all levels,
a warm-up and cool-down, 12 minutes of strength training, and 5-10 minutes of stretching and education. Participants should bring an exercise mat and water bottle.

Our weekly endurance run allows our runners to walk or jog for 30 to 45+ minutes.
This class option offers a steady pace cardio workout with an option to focus on increasing mileage, for those interested in training for a 10K, half marathon or beyond.

I am a mom to 3 young-adult boys. In addition, I work full time for a busy urgent care/emergency medicine company and have been part of MOTR since 2010, where I started as an assistant coach. I have been a MOTR franchise owner since 2011 and have a team of coaches. The community of women at MOTR and connecting people brings me so much joy. I would love to guide you in your fitness goals while making friendship and fun part of the journey.

CELEBRATE MOMS: May 11, 2024

Kick off Mother’s Day weekend by joining us to Celebrate Moms and Strong Women EverywhereThis event is a casual, all-levels, Moms on the Run style workout, followed by refreshments.

Not a member? This is a great opportunity to check out Moms on the Run and meet other local women. You don’t have to be a mom to join us.

SPRING AND SUMMER: SIGNATURE TRAINING

Our signature training program lets you attend classes from 1 to 5 times per week. We strongly recommend choosing an interval class at least once a week, which includes a higher level of structure and support. From walkers to runners, women will start at their own level and progress throughout the season.

FALL: STRENGTH + CARDIO BOOT CAMP

Our strength and cardio boot camp offers a variety of workout options to help you get fit. We’ll help maximize your metabolism by providing run/walk high intensity interval training (HIIT) at your level. Enhance your fitness level by improving strength, muscle tone, speed and agility.

WINTER: POLAR RUN AND INDOOR TRAINING

Our Polar run offers you a way to maintain the running endurance you built up during the summer and fall, while staying accountable and motivating during the long, cold winter months.

We also host virtual and indoor strength-training classes.

MARATHON AND HALF MARATHON TRAINING PLANS

Moms on the Run offers training programs and social media groups to current customers who are training for a marathon or half marathon.

Our training plans have been designed by our National Fitness Director, Olympian Carrie Tollefson.
