Holly Springs Moms on the Run inspires and transforms women through a healthy lifestyle of fitness, fun and friendship. We offer instructor-led fitness programming to women of all ages and fitness levels. Whether you’re training for your first 5K, training for a longer distance, want to increase your strength or just looking for walking buddies, we have a program for you. You’ll make new friends, find accountability, and have fun while working toward a healthier lifestyle.

CLASS SCHEDULE

30 minutes of Cardio + Strength & Stretching! These classes use cardio intervals to improve metabolism and cardiovascular fitness.  Beginning runners will learn to run, moving from mostly walking to running as they progress, with the goal of completing a 5K distance at the end of the season. Experienced runners will complete 30 minutes of interval training to improve their running speed and fitness levels, with workouts designed by our National Fitness Director, Olympian Carrie Tollefson. A short strength training component, stretching, and education conclude the class. Participants are encourage to bring 5 lb weights and a yoga mat. Meet at J.B. Owens Park.

Choose your pace, Choose your distance! Our weekly steady paced cardio workouts are designed to help participants build endurance and either increase their mileage, maintain their running base, or add in an additional interval workout. Participants typically walk or jog for 30 to 45+ minutes with longer options available for those training for a 10K, half marathon or beyond. Meet at J.B. Welcome to Moms on the Run Holly Springs! We’re excited you are here. My name is Debbie Bloom, and I’m a mom of one incredible kid named Kellen. I’m busy multi-tasking priorities most days of the week right here in Holly Springs. Like many of you, I have to work to prioritize my health. Once I hit my late 30s, exercise started to slowly take a back burner to growing demands of family and work life. I’ve learned the hard way prioritizing my health must be priority #1. One’s spiritual, mental, and physical well-being is of utmost importance, no matter if you are a mom of none, one, or four or more, you have to prioritize you! Some things I love are family time, long conversations with my kiddo about something I know nothing about (like UFC or weight training influencers) one-on-one conversations with friends, a really great cup of coffee from a local coffee shop in a new city, a hike through the forest, a jog after a long day, weights on a super cold morning/evening, shopping online on a rainy weekend, and reading a great book. No matter how you found yourself on this page, you’re here for a reason and I am so glad you came. I hope you join us soon for a workout! Come, make friends, let’s workout together. 🙂

SPRING AND SUMMER: SIGNATURE TRAINING

Our signature training program lets you attend classes from 1 to 5 times per week. We strongly recommend choosing an interval class at least once a week, which includes a higher level of structure and support. From walkers to runners, women will start at their own level and progress throughout the season.

FALL: STRENGTH + CARDIO BOOT CAMP

Our strength and cardio boot camp offers a variety of workout options to help you get fit. We’ll help maximize your metabolism by providing run/walk high intensity interval training (HIIT) at your level. Enhance your fitness level by improving strength, muscle tone, speed and agility.

WINTER: POLAR RUN AND INDOOR TRAINING

Our Polar run offers you a way to maintain the running endurance you built up during the summer and fall, while staying accountable and motivating during the long, cold winter months.

We also host virtual and indoor strength-training classes.

MARATHON AND HALF MARATHON TRAINING PLANS

Moms on the Run offers training programs and social media groups to current customers who are training for a marathon or half marathon.

Our training plans have been designed by our National Fitness Director, Olympian Carrie Tollefson.
