Class Options
5k Interval Training with Strength workout
Our signature training classes use cardio intervals to improve metabolism and cardiovascular fitness. Beginning runners will learn to run, moving from mostly walking to running as they progress through the 18-week program. More experienced runners will use intervals to improve their running speed and fitness levels. A short strength training component, stretching and education concludes the class.
|
Endurance Runs for increasing mileage
We offer weekly steady paced cardio workouts with an option to focus on increasing mileage or to get in an additional interval workout. Participants typically walk or jog for 30 to 45+ minutes with longer options available for those training for a 10K, half marathon or beyond.
|
Trail Running
Our weekly trail runs will help you see the beauty of nature while you get in a great workout. We'll group up by pace and explore the trails.
|
Marathon and Half Marathon Training PlansMoms on the Run offers training programs to current customers who are training for a marathon or half marathon. Our training plans have been designed by our National Fitness Director, Olympian Carrie Tollefson. These plans are designed to fit seamlessly into the class schedule.

Erin Rheault
My name is Erin and I'm excited to join the coaching team! I've been involved in Moms on the Run since 2011 when I joined the Learn to Run program and it quickly became very therapeutic for me. 10 miles is my favorite racing distance and I completed my first marathon in 2018! I married and have two children. My full-time job is as an Office Manager for a commercial tire company. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, crocheting, hiking and boating. I will be certifying as a run instructor this spring, and I look forward to helping many women in the local area develop a new love for running and reach their goals, especially those brand new to the sport.

Jane DreyerI started running with Moms on the Run in 2010. I had always been an active person, but had never enjoyed running. Slowly, I built up my endurance and progressed from walk/run intervals to all running. I was amazed! Soon I began running races, starting with 5Ks. After my first race, I discovered what they call the "runners high" and I was hooked. In the past 5 years, I have run lots of races from 5Ks to 10Ks to half and full marathons. I love running, but my biggest takeaway from Moms on the Run so far has been the wonderful women I have met and the friendships that we have developed. Coaching is awesome because it gives me the opportunity to provide support and encouragement (as well as share my experience/knowledge) and hopefully inspire other women to continue on their running journey!

rachel baar
My running career began nearly 30 years ago. I started running in high school and ran both track and cross country for the University of Tulsa. I run now for fun and enjoy helping others find pleasure in being physically active. I am a certified running coach through RRCA and USATF. I have been coaching with Moms on the Run since 2014. It has been rewarding to see women push themselves and meet goals they once thought were impossible. When I have a chance to run a race, my favorite distance is the 10 mile. I recently completed my first marathon and qualified for the Boston Marathon. In addition to running, I am also a 200-hour yoga instructor. By day, I am a registered dietitian nutritionist. I live in Columbus, MN with my husband and two children.

Strength & Cardio Boot Camp
Our 8-week Strength and Cardio Boot Camp offers a variety of workout options to help you get fit. We'll help maximize your metabolism by providing run/walk high intensity interval training (HIIT) at your level. Enhance your fitness level by improving strength, muscle tone, speed and agility.

Winter Training Program
Don't let the cold Minnesota winters scare you away from getting a great workout! We offer both indoor and outdoor workouts to help you maintain the strength and conditioning you built over the summer and fall. We offer a great yoga for running class and we'll layer up and keep up your endurance with outdoor weekend runs.
|
18 Week Signature Training
Our signature 18-week training program lets you attend classes from 1 to 3 times per week. We strongly recommend choosing an interval class at least once a week, which includes a higher level of structure and support. From walkers to runners, women will start at their own level and progress throughout the season
