FALL STRENGTH & CARDIO TRAINING

Commit to get fit! Our 8-week program, September 9th through October 31st, brings the FITNESS in fitness, fun & friendship — with a boot camp offering both strength and cardio interval training. We are meeting up with Cottage Grove Moms on the Run on the border of Cottage Grove and Woodbury, and will add additional classes within Woodbury soon as we have the coaching capacity to do so.

All about Fall: Maximize your metabolism by doing HIIT at your level! Our fall interval focus helps both walkers and runners to improve their speed, metabolism and cardiovascular health with workouts designed by our National Fitness Director Olympian Carrie Tollefson. The weekly endurance run helps maintain your running base and increase endurance, or get more walking miles!

Note: We have a new registration system. Please contact Karissa@momsontherun.com if you have any issues.

WOODBURY CLASS SCHEDULE

50 minutes of Cardio + Strength! These classes use cardio intervals to improve metabolism and cardiovascular fitness.  Beginning runners will ease into running with walk/run intervals, experienced runners will improve their speed and fitness levels, and walkers will stay motivated in their routine while working at the level of their choice. Our unique fall format helps all levels stay together on the trails! Classes meet at Glacial Valley Park.

Our weekly endurance run allows our runners to walk or jog for 30 to 45+ minutes. This class option offers a steady pace cardio workout with an option to focus on increasing mileage, for those interested in training for a 10K, half marathon or beyond. This class meets at Glacial Valley Park or at various local trails around Woodbury and Cottage Grove as selected by the group.

OUR SPECIALTY VIRTUAL CLASS MEETS WEEKLY VIA ZOOM WITH COACH STACY.

30 minutes to strengthen and tone!  Up the intensity of your weight training routine with heavier weights to build muscular strength and endurance, with a special focus on core training.  Modifications are available for all fitness levels. Recommended equipment: an exercise mat, resistance bands and weights (5 – 15 pound dumbbells)

Take advantage of our “On Demand” viewing at your convenience. (Class takes place live at 6am Thursdays; contact us if you’d like to participate live).

HEAD COACH Melissa Hamann

Melissa’s love for running began when she ran track in high school, but her running journey took on a whole new meaning when she joined Moms on the Run in 2020. While rebuilding herself physically and mentally after becoming a mom, she experienced a complete transformation and discovered a true passion for running and fitness.

In 2024, Melissa became a Certified Personal Trainer and Certified Nutrition Coach, inspired by her own journey and a desire to help others discover their strength and confidence.

Today, she is a marathon runner pursuing her World Marathon Majors journey and continues to chase goals she once never imagined possible.

For Melissa, Moms on the Run is about more than miles—it’s about fitness, friendship, community, and discovering just how strong you can become.

SPRING AND SUMMER: SIGNATURE TRAINING

Our signature training program lets you attend classes from 1 to 5 times per week. We strongly recommend choosing an interval class at least once a week, which includes a higher level of structure and support. From walkers to runners, women will start at their own level and progress throughout the season.

FALL: STRENGTH + CARDIO BOOT CAMP

Our strength and cardio boot camp offers a variety of workout options to help you get fit. We’ll help maximize your metabolism by providing run/walk high intensity interval training (HIIT) at your level. Enhance your fitness level by improving strength, muscle tone, speed and agility.

We also host virtual and indoor strength-training classes.
