Moms on the Run is an instructor-led fitness program with coaching to motivate, educate, and encourage you on your fitness journey. Whether you're striving for your first 5K, training for a longer distance, or just looking for walking buddies, we have a program for you! You'll make new friends, find accountability, and have fun while working toward a healthier lifestyle!

Our cardiovascular interval training classes for all levels include strength training, stretching, and education. Our Learn to Run program will help you safely build up to your first 5k race. Our interval training plan for experienced runners is designed to maximize your fitness levels and help you improve speed and endurance.

MONTH OF MILES, JULY 1 - 31

Join us for a fun challenge to stay motivated and accountable with a regular exercise routine. Our Month of Miles Challenge will help you set goals to increase your mileage a bit each week as you are motivated to move your body every day. Walking, jogging, intervals, and running all count toward your movement goal. Even if you're usually a runner, walking is an important part of success in this challenge and is encouraged as a safe way to increase mileage.
This is a personal challenge. Start right where you're at and work up from there. It could be .5 mile for your first day, but the point is to make sure to log something! Try to increase your overall distance each week by 10 percent.* Remember, your only competition is YOU!
*We advise NOT increasing your running if you are already where you want to be with your mileage. If you do have the personal goal to increase your running, we strongly advise not increasing this mileage more than 10% per week.

The annual Moms on the Run 5K/10K and Kids Run on Sunday, Aug. 27, is a great way to celebrate your summer training season. We are once again in person at beautiful Lake Phalen in St. Paul, MN. If you can't make that date, we also have a virtual option available. New this year, we have a long sleeve quarter zip for all participants!

INTERVAL TRAINING
Cardio & Strength These classes use cardio intervals to improve metabolism and cardiovascular fitness. Beginning runners will learn to run, moving from mostly walking to running as they progress, with the goal of completing a 5K distance at the end of the season. Experienced runners will complete 30 minutes of interval training to improve speed and fitness levels, with workouts designed by our National Fitness Director, Olympian Carrie Tollefson. A short strength training component, stretching, and education conclude the class. |
SUNRISE RUNS
Chasing the Sun Early morning weekday runs with either interval training or a steady paced run/walk. Workout includes a short warm up and concludes with stretching. Get your workout in before sending the kids to school or heading to work. |
ENDURANCE RUN
Your Pace & Distance Our weekly steady paced cardio workouts are designed to help participants build endurance and either increase their mileage, maintain their running base, or add in an additional interval workout. Participants typically walk or jog for 30 to 45+ minutes with longer options available for those training for a 10K, half marathon, or beyond. |
