This spring and summer, we will meet in-person and will follow health and safety policies including social distancing and size limits according to federal, state and local health guidelines. Should stay-at-home orders go into effect, we have virtual programming ready to go and will make adjustments as needed to accommodate the continually changing landscape of Covid-19.

Moms on the Run is an instructor-led fitness program with coaching to motivate, educate and encourage you on your fitness journey. Whether you’re training for your first 5K, training for a longer distance, or just looking for walking buddies, we have a program for you! You’ll make new friends, find accountability, and have fun while working toward a healthier lifestyle. Our 18-week Signature Training Program runs April 26 - August 28 and includes:

Class Option
5K INTERVAL TRAINING WITH STRENGTH WORKOUT30 minute cardio workouts
Our signature training classes use cardio intervals to improve metabolism and cardiovascular fitness. Beginning runners will learn to run, moving from mostly walking to running as they progress, with the goal of completing a 5K distance at the end of the season. More experienced runners will complete 30 minutes of interval training designed by our National Fitness Director, Olympian Carrie Tollefson to improve their running speed and fitness levels. A short strength training component, stretching, and education concludes the class. |
ENDURANCE RUNS
(OR WALK!) Choose your pace Choose your distance We offer weekly steady paced cardio workouts with an option to focus on increasing mileage or to get in an additional interval workout. Participants typically walk or jog for 30 to 45+ minutes with longer options available for those training for a 10K, half marathon or beyond. |

I started Moms on the Run Shakopee in the fall of 2015. I was a middle school Language Arts teacher for 10 years before deciding to stay home with my 5 kids (includes two sets of twins, one fraternal set and an identical set). I am continually amazed and inspired by the women I have met through this program. I always feel blessed when I hear your testimonies and stories of success. One of the most exciting aspects of the program for me has been watching the new friendships form. In a culture where we are too busy to connect, we are doing just that while taking care of ourselves and getting a workout in at the same time. I hope to meet you soon!
