Moms on the Run

YOU ARE WELCOME HERE

    Moms on the Run is an instructor-led fitness program with coaching to motivate, educate and encourage you on your fitness journey. Whether you’re training for your first 5K, training for a longer distance, or just looking for walking buddies, we have a program for you. You’ll make new friends, find accountability, and have fun while working toward a healthier lifestyle.

    Our Winter Training Programs provide the support and accountability you need to get through the busy holiday season and the long cold winter months.

    Winter Session #3 Prep for Spring:
    February 26 - April 15
    • Sundays at 3:30 pm for a 10-15 minute body weight strength workout.  Run beginning at 4pm at Lake St. United Methodist Church
    • Tuesdays at 5:30 a.m. at Phoenix Park (weather permitting)
    • Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m. at Hobbs Ice Rink Parking Lot
    • Thursdays at 6:00 p.m. Hill/Stair workouts various locations in Eau Claire
    • Saturdays at 7:00 a.m. at Hobbs Ice Rink Parking Lot
    Signature Training Program
    April 26-August 27
    • Interval Training with Strength: Sundays and Wednesdays at 6pm, Phoenix Park (bring water, weights and yoga mat every time)
    • Wake up Run: Tuesdays at 5:30 am, River Prairie Park & Ride lot, Altoona 
    • Trail Running: Thursdays at 6pm, Saturdays at 7am, Lowes Creek County Park (county park pass required)
    • Endurance Run: Saturdays at 7am, Phoenix Park and Lowes Creek ​

    The annual Moms on the Run 5K/10K and Kids Run on Sunday, Aug. 27, is a great way to celebrate your summer training season. We are once again in person at beautiful Lake Phalen in St. Paul, MN. If you can't make that date, we also have a virtual option available. 

    All women are welcome to join us! This event is fun for all and is not exclusive to members.​

    OUR PROGRAMMING

    At Moms on the Run we love to run - no matter what the weather! We offer a variety of programming to help you stay in shape and stay connected to our strong community of women. Choose a program title below to get more details.
    SIGNATURE TRAINING (18 WEEKS)
    Offered in Spring/Summer

    Our Signature Training Program will get you to that first 5k or help you improve your speed and endurance.  Choose to attend 1-5 classes per week. We recommend including an interval class at least once a week, which includes a higher level of structure and support. From walkers to runners, women will start at their own level and progress throughout the season.

    STRENGTH & CARDIO BOOT CAMP (8 WEEKS)
    ​Offered in Fall

    Our Strength and Cardio Boot Camp offers a variety of workout options to help you get fit. We'll help maximize your metabolism by providing run/walk high intensity interval training (HIIT) at your level. Enhance your fitness level by improving strength, muscle tone, speed and agility.

    POLAR RUNNING
    Our winter classes provide an opportunity to ease into winter running and stay accountable through the cold winter months. Each winter session will give you the encouragement and accountability to maintain your running and strength training through the cold and busy Holiday season. Whether you are new to Moms on the Run or a returning member, we will work with you to help you learn to run or maintain your running momentum throughout the winter.

    MARATHON AND HALF MARATHON TRAINING PLANS
    ​Moms on the Run offers training programs to current customers who are training for a marathon or half marathon. Our training plans have been designed by our National Fitness Director, Olympian Carrie Tollefson.
