Moms on the Run inspires and transforms women through a healthy lifestyle of fitness, fun and friendship. We offer instructor-led fitness programming to women of all ages and fitness levels. Whether you’re training for your first 5K, training for a longer distance, want to increase your strength or just looking for walking buddies, we have a program for you. You’ll make new friends, find accountability, and have fun while working toward a healthier lifestyle.

CLASS SCHEDULE

Class Schedule for Winter January – April 13 2024

Starting 3/11…..

Monday and Wednesday – 6:30pm meeting at Kingston Park at the Park building.  For Cardio and Strength class. Bring mat, 5lb weight and water. 

Saturday – 7:30am Outdoor Run/Walk meeting at a variety of different Trails around Cottage Grove

**Mondays Class – meeting at Pine Tree Valley Park

30 minutes of Cardio + Strength & Stretching! These classes use cardio intervals to improve metabolism and cardiovascular fitness.  Beginning runners will learn to run, moving from mostly walking to running as they progress, with the goal of completing a 5K distance at the end of the season. Experienced runners will complete 30 minutes of interval training to improve their running speed and fitness levels, with workouts designed by our National Fitness Director, Olympian Carrie Tollefson. A short strength training component, stretching, and education conclude the class. Participants are encourage to bring 5 lb weights and a yoga mat.

**Wednesday Class – meeting at Pine Tree Valley Park

**Saturday Run/Walk – meeting at trails around Cottage Grove

Choose your pace, Choose your distance! Our weekly steady paced cardio workouts are designed to help participants build endurance and either increase their mileage, maintain their running base, or add in an additional interval workout. Participants typically walk or jog for 30 to 45+ minutes with longer options available for those training for a 10K, half marathon or beyond.

My name is Charlyn McDanold. I am a wife, a mom of 3 busy kids and the lucky owner and head coach of Cottage Grove Moms on the Run for the last 7 years!!

One of my most FAVORITE things is getting to help women take an hour for themselves, to fill their cups, surround themselves with a supportive team to do life with and to help them see they deserve to have goals too. Don’t think you need to see where you are at before you try us out. We want you RIGHT WHERE YOU ARE and we will motivate, support and take steps with you to where you want to be.

CELEBRATE MOMS: May 11, 2024

Kick off Mother’s Day weekend by joining us to Celebrate Moms and Strong Women EverywhereThis event is a casual, all-levels, Moms on the Run style workout, followed by refreshments.

Not a member? This is a great opportunity to check out Moms on the Run and meet other local women. You don’t have to be a mom to join us.

We'll also be giving away prizes on social media. Share your photos from the workout on that day’s post on our National Facebook page for a chance to win!

SPRING AND SUMMER: SIGNATURE TRAINING

Our signature training program lets you attend classes from 1 to 5 times per week. We strongly recommend choosing an interval class at least once a week, which includes a higher level of structure and support. From walkers to runners, women will start at their own level and progress throughout the season.

FALL: STRENGTH + CARDIO BOOT CAMP

Our strength and cardio boot camp offers a variety of workout options to help you get fit. We’ll help maximize your metabolism by providing run/walk high intensity interval training (HIIT) at your level. Enhance your fitness level by improving strength, muscle tone, speed and agility.

WINTER: POLAR RUN AND INDOOR TRAINING

Our Polar run offers you a way to maintain the running endurance you built up during the summer and fall, while staying accountable and motivating during the long, cold winter months.

We also host virtual and indoor strength-training classes.

MARATHON AND HALF MARATHON TRAINING PLANS

Moms on the Run offers training programs and social media groups to current customers who are training for a marathon or half marathon.

Our training plans have been designed by our National Fitness Director, Olympian Carrie Tollefson.
