Moms on the Run inspires and transforms women through a healthy lifestyle of fitness, fun and friendship. We offer instructor-led fitness programming to women of all ages and fitness levels. Whether you’re training for your first 5K, training for a longer distance, want to increase your strength or just looking for walking buddies, we have a program for you. You’ll make new friends, find accountability, and have fun while working toward a healthier lifestyle.

JOIN US FOR WINTER TRAINING 

Our Winter Training Program provides the support and accountability you need to get through the busy holiday season and the long cold winter months.  Keep your muscles strong and your metabolism boosted with a mix of training dedicated to maintain cardiovascular fitness while building variety into your strength routine.

CLASS SCHEDULE

Stay in shape with this heart pumping, muscle burning fun! Enjoy a fast-paced workout designed to boost your metabolism by combining high intensity cardio blasts with strength training. There will be outdoor running incorporated if weather and conditions are good.  Modifications are available for all fitness levels. Bring an exercise mat and weights (5 pounds or more recommended).  Mondays meet at Peter Thompson Building – 6327 Highland Hills Blvd, Cottage Grove

Stay in shape this winter with this heart pumping, muscle burning, FUN class! Join us for challenging strength exercises intermixed with cardio interval bursts on the track. Experience HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) in a FUN new way! Modifications are available for all fitness levels. Bring an exercise mat and weights (5 pounds or more recommended).  Wednesdays we meet upstairs at the Park Highschool Activity Center Indoor Track. 

It’s only cold if you’re standing still! We love to run even in the winter, and our Winter Runs provides an opportunity to continue getting fresh air and keep your running legs in top shape through these long, cold months.  We will meet at a variety of local trails around Cottage Grove.

My name is Charlyn McDanold. I am a wife, a mom of 3 busy kids and the lucky owner and head coach of Cottage Grove Moms on the Run for the last 7 years!!

One of my most FAVORITE things is getting to help women take an hour for themselves, to fill their cups, surround themselves with a supportive team to do life with and to help them see they deserve to have goals too. Don’t think you need to see where you are at before you try us out. We want you RIGHT WHERE YOU ARE and we will motivate, support and take steps with you to where you want to be.

Each square lists an activity that relates to your physical or mental well-being. Check off the square as you complete the activity. Optionally, comment on our social media post each Monday to enter the weekly prize drawing!

This Healthy Holiday challenge is free, with a recommended donation to our charity partner, Feed My Starving Children.

RUN THE COAST

JOIN US FOR A SUNNY SOCAL RUNCATION
JANUARY 11-15, 2024

Join Moms on the Run and Olympian Carrie Tollefson for a weekend of fitness, fun and friendship at Carlsbad Marathon, Half and 5k.

Our sunny adventure along the SoCal coast will fill you up with much-needed R&R. Come alone or with your best running friends and focus on whatever you need – pushing yourself during the race, enjoying social time with like-minded women, or relaxing by a beautiful rooftop pool overlooking the ocean.

SPRING AND SUMMER: SIGNATURE TRAINING

Our signature training program lets you attend classes from 1 to 5 times per week. We strongly recommend choosing an interval class at least once a week, which includes a higher level of structure and support. From walkers to runners, women will start at their own level and progress throughout the season.

FALL: STRENGTH + CARDIO BOOT CAMP

Our strength and cardio boot camp offers a variety of workout options to help you get fit. We’ll help maximize your metabolism by providing run/walk high intensity interval training (HIIT) at your level. Enhance your fitness level by improving strength, muscle tone, speed and agility.

WINTER: POLAR RUN AND INDOOR TRAINING

Our Polar run offers you a way to maintain the running endurance you built up during the summer and fall, while staying accountable and motivating during the long, cold winter months.

We also host virtual and indoor strength-training classes.

MARATHON AND HALF MARATHON TRAINING PLANS

Moms on the Run offers training programs and social media groups to current customers who are training for a marathon or half marathon.

Our training plans have been designed by our National Fitness Director, Olympian Carrie Tollefson.
