At Moms on the Run, we want to help you create healthy habits all year long. We are in the final days of this year's Healthy Holiday Bingo challenge! Today, Moms on the Run National Fitness Director, Olympian Carrie Tollefson, shares about the importance of sleep. Sleep is critical for energy, brain function, avoiding weight gain, lowering the risk of heart disease and reducing stress. At Moms on the Run, we are in the middle of this year's Healthy Holiday Bingo challenge. Today, Moms on the Run National Fitness Director, Olympian Carrie Tollefson, helps us check off a box on our "non-traditional" Bingo card: Stretches! It's important to take at least 10 minutes after your workout to stretch. It will aid in post-workout recovery and help prevent injury. The trees are decorated, the stockings are hung with care...there's so much going on this time of year. At Moms on the Run, we have just started this year's Healthy Holiday Bingo challenge! Do this as part of your workout today, making sure you use proper form. Have fun and burpee on! It’s the hectic holiday season, and we want to help you maintain healthy habits amid all the festivities. This year, we created a simple, habit-forming game: Bingo-style! The challenge will start next Monday, Dec. 13, and run through Dec. 31. You’ll have 19 activities for 19 days. You can go in order or skip around — easy and fun! The challenge is free (with an optional donation to our charity partner Feed My Starving Children), and we'll have prize drawings each week on social media for those who are registered.
