Welcome to SpRingfIelD Moms on the Run

SPRING SESSION  APRIL 22-JULY 28

​Stop thinking you could never be a runner and start believing that you can achieve your fitness goals! Moms on the Run can help. We’re not a run club. We’re an instructor-led fitness program with coaching to motivate, educate and encourage you on your journey. You’ll make new friends, find accountability and have fun while working toward a healthier lifestyle.

We welcome all women, all ages and all fitness levels. We offer programming for beginning to experienced runners. Walkers will be encouraged to follow an interval training schedule designed to maximize their fitness levels. Our “learn to run” program begins with mostly walking and gradually transitions to more jogging. Experienced runners will be challenged to improve their times and endurance. We also offer a great selection of additional strength and cardio training formats.

Our Current Program

Spring/Summer Interval Training Program 2018

Our Spring/Summer Running Program consists of  interval runs, endurance (long) runs, strength training and a High Intensity  Interval workout each week. Choose to attend 1-4 times per week with a variety of times and classes to choose from.   Perfect for new runners who have always wanted to run a 5K or 10K all the way to experienced runners who would like the accountability and training to reach a new PR.  We will finish the season at the Girls Just Wanna Run 5K/10K on July 21st (if you choose to participate)

Endurance Training

A steady pace run or walk to focus on increasing mileage for our upcoming races. We will follow a 5K and 10K training program.

Interval Training

60 minute class typically includes 30 minutes of interval running or walking, a warm-up and cool-down, 15 minutes of strength training and stretching. A coach leads each group from walkers to experienced runners in a progressive interval session.

Running Boot camp

Taught by our resident trainer Brooke Henderson. She will lead us in a fun, 60 minute High Intensity Interval workout. The format will change up each week to keep things fun and interesting. This class is outdoors in downtown Springfield. 

Class Meeting Details

 Monday Mornings at 5:30AM (Interval Training): For the early riser, who would like to squeeze in their workout before work or before kids and hubbies are even out of bed. Meet at Sequiota Park. 
Wednesday Mornings at 5:30AM (Endurance): 60 minute class that will be all running, walking or intervals,  This class gives you the chance to work on increasing your time, distance and speed for our upcoming race. Meet at Sequiota Park 
Tuesday evenings at 6:00PM(Interval Training):  See explanation above. Meet at Sequiota Park off of S. Lone Pine Rd. 
Thursday Evenings at 6:00PM (Endurance):  See explanation above.  Walking Group only available Tues/Thurs evenings

Saturday Mornings at 8:00AM: Endurance/Distance Runs.  This class was created for those who want to push themselves even further. The class time/mileage will increase over the 14 week session. Meet at Sequiota Park off of S. Lone Pine Rd 

​Sunday Afternoons Bootcamp at 4:00pm: We will meet at the Route 66 parking garage downtown. More specific directions will be emailed once you register.

*Our signature 14-week training program lets you attend classes from 1 to 4 times per week. We strongly recommend choosing an interval class at least once a week, which includes a higher level of structure and support.

  • 2x/week: $160 or $40/month 
  • 3x/week: $200 or $50/month
  • Unlimited- Best Value! Attend any amount of classes each week, including interval, endurance or bootcamp.  $250 or $62.50/month
  • Any 20 class pass- Not sure what your schedule will allow? This is your best option and allows you to come to any 20 classes over the 14 weeks. $150
  • We also offer the option to add your Girls Just Wanna Run 5K or 10K registration to any purchase option.
