Welcome to Hastings Moms on the Run

Stop thinking you could never be a runner and start believing that you can achieve your fitness goals! Moms on the Run can help. We’re not a run club. We’re an instructor-led fitness program with coaching to motivate, educate and encourage you on your journey. You’ll make new friends, find accountability and have fun while working toward a healthier lifestyle.

We welcome all women, all ages and all fitness levels. We offer programming for walkers to beginning runners to experienced runners. Walkers will be encouraged to follow an interval training schedule designed to maximize their fitness levels. Our “learn to run” program begins with mostly walking and gradually transitions to more jogging, with the optional goal of completing a 5k race. Experienced runners will be challenged to improve their times and endurance. We also offer   additional strength and cardio training formats.

Our Current Program

18 Week Signature training program

Our signature 18-week training program lets you attend classes from 1 to 4 times per week. We strongly recommend choosing an interval class at least once a week, which includes a higher level of structure and support.

In 30 minutes of cardiovascular interval training, women will start at their own pace of walking and/or running and progress throughout the season. New runners will work towards the goal of a first 5k race to conclude the season, and experienced runners will focus on improving speed and fitness.

strength training

A short strength training component 12-15 minutes is part of each interval training class, followed by stretching and education. Learn about injury prevention, healthy running tips and more.

We are offering an optional extended boot camp style session on Tuesday evenings .

endurance runs

We offer weekly steady paced cardio workouts with an option to focus on gradually increasing mileage to 10k or more, or to get in an additional interval workout. A 10k race option is available at the end of our season.
New this year: We are offering an additional endurance walk/run option!

Class Meeting Details

Our season runs Sunday April 22, 2018 - August 26th, 2018
  • Interval Training: Tuesday at 6:30pm and Saturday at 8am, Jaycee Park
  • Endurance Run: Thursdays at 6:30pm, Schaar's Bluff, Spring Lake Park Reserve
  • New! Endurance/Destination Run: Sundays at 6pm, various paths/trails within 40 minutes of Hastings (begins 6/10)
  • New! Boot Camp: Tuesdays after interval training, Jaycee Park (begins 5/15)

We have a new registration system! New and existing customers will need to setup their account in this system before purchasing a program.
1x/week Signature Training ($219 or $46/month) - attend 1 session a week, endurance or interval training. This option is intended for those who are interested in regularly attending the same class time each week.

1x/week Interval Training plus Endurance Run ($259 or $55/month) - attend 1 interval training session a week and add one low-cost endurance run each week.

2x/week Interval Training with FREE Endurance Run ($279 or $59/month) - attend 2 interval training sessions a week and get one of our endurance run class for free!

Boot Camp ($54 or $13/month) - An add-on to our Tuesday night class. A fun, face-paced strength boosting session that will work your body to become a more efficient runner. Your own body weight, hand weights, and bands will be used. Runs for 15 weeks with the start date of 5/15 and must be purchased with a interval training session.

Unlimited Signature Training Program ($309 or $65/month) - Best Value! Attend any amount of classes each week, includes strength, endurance and interval training. 

Any 20 Class Pass ($239 or $51/month) - This program offers the ultimate flexibility for those who have an unpredictable schedule and want a low to moderate commitment level. Attend up to 20 sessions throughout the duration of the program, including both interval training and endurance classes.

Hello! I am a stay-at-home-mom to 2 children, whom I homeschool. My husband, Austin, is a pastor so I am also very involved in ministry at our church. I have been coaching here in Hastings since 2013 and seem to love every season more than the last. I have been a runner my whole life practically but more seriously in the past 15 years. I have run many races at different distances including 5ks, 10ks, half marathons, full marathons and the Ragnar Ultra. I also enjoy biking and have done a couple duathlons. I love running outdoors during all 4 seasons. I am excited to meet new faces as well as seeing returning friends. I can't wait to help each of you reach your goals this season!
