Moms on the Run is an instructor-led fitness program with coaching to motivate, educate and encourage you on your fitness journey. Whether you’re training for your first 5K, training for a longer distance, or just looking for walking buddies, we have a program for you! You’ll make new friends, find accountability, and have fun while working toward a healthier lifestyle.

Signature Training Program through August 26, 2023
Our cardiovascular interval training classes for all levels include strength training, stretching and education. Our Learn to Run program will help you safely build up to your first 5k race. Walkers and experienced runners, improve your speed and endurance with an interval training schedule designed to maximize your fitness levels.

  • Interval Training: Tuesdays at 6:30pm with Coach Christine and Thursdays at 6:30pm with Coach Tina both classes will be at Jaycee Park
  • Endurance Run: Wednesdays at 6:00am at the church lot at 15th & General Sieben Dr. with Coach Mandy and Saturdays at 8:00am at Schaar's Bluff with Coaches Mandy & Amy
  • Release & Restore (Yoga for Runners): Sundays 7:00pm-7:40pm with Coach Steph - attend live via Zoom or watch on demand at your convenience

Month of Miles, July 1 - 31

​​Join us for a fun challenge to stay motivated and accountable with a regular exercise routine. Our Month of Miles Challenge will help you set goals to increase your mileage a bit each week as you are motivated to move your body every day. Walking, jogging, intervals and running all count toward your movement goal. Even if you're usually a runner, walking is an important part of success in this challenge and is encouraged as a safe way to increase mileage.

This is a personal challenge.  Start right where you're at and work up from there.  It could be .5 miles for your first day, but the point is to make sure to log something!  Try to increase your overall distance each week by 10 percent.*  Remember, your only competition is YOU!
*We advise NOT increasing your running if you are already where you want to be with your mileage.  If you do have the personal goal to increase your running, we strongly advise not increasing this mileage more than 10% per week.

Moms on the Run 5K/10K/Kids Run: Aug. 27, 2023

The annual Moms on the Run 5K/10K and Kids Run on Sunday, Aug. 27, is a great way to celebrate your summer training season. We are once again in person at beautiful Lake Phalen in St. Paul, MN. If you can't make that date, we also have a virtual option available. New this year, we have a long sleeve quarter zip for all participants!

All women are welcome to join us! This event is fun for all and is not exclusive to members.

Interval Training with Strength

30 minutes of cardio + strength & stretching

These classes use cardio intervals to improve metabolism and cardiovascular fitness.  Beginning runners will learn to run, moving from mostly walking to running as they progress, with the goal of completing a 5K distance at the end of the season. Experienced runners will complete 30 minutes of interval training  to improve their running speed and fitness levels, with workouts designed by our National Fitness Director, Olympian Carrie Tollefson. A short strength training component, stretching, and education conclude the class.

ENDURANCE RUN

Our weekly steady paced cardio workouts are designed to help participants build endurance and either increase their mileage, maintain their running base, or add in an additional interval workout. Participants typically walk or jog for 30 to 45+ minutes with longer options available for those training for a 10K, half marathon or beyond.

Virtual classes

Release & Restore:
Yoga for Runners

With the needs of runners in mind, this virtual class will help you prepare for your weekly workouts, restore your body and calm your mind for the challenges of the week ahead. Keep your muscles long and strong while using yoga to improve breathing, flexibility and core strength. This class is available live and on demand.

18 Week Signature Training

Our signature 18-week training program lets you attend classes from 1 to 5 times per week. We strongly recommend choosing an interval class at least once a week, which includes a higher level of structure and support. From walkers to runners, women will start at their own level and progress throughout the season.

Strength + Cardio program

Our 8-week strength and cardio boot camp offers a variety of workout options to help you get fit. We'll help maximize your metabolism by providing run/walk high intensity interval training (HIIT) at your level. Enhance your fitness level by improving strength, muscle tone, speed and agility.

Polar Run

Our Polar Runs offers you a way to maintain the running endurance you built up during the summer and fall, while staying accountable and motivating during the long, cold winter months. Our Polar Runs gives you the organization and structure you need to succeed.
