MOTIVATION & ACCOUNTABILITY CHALLENGE

JUNE 1-30

Welcome to our Month of Miles Challenge, where every step counts toward your streak of consecutive days of running or walking! This challenge will help keep you moving all month. How many days in a row can you go? How many days in June can you log activity? Whether you’re jogging, sprinting, or simply taking a leisurely stroll, every movement contributes to your streak. Participants receive weekly motivation, awesome mini challenges, our mileage tracking sheet, the ability to win awesome prizes on our Facebook page, and an optional upgrade for an awesome tee.

This is a personal challenge. Start right where you’re at and work up from there. It could be .5 miles for your first day, but the point is to make sure to log something! Try to increase your overall distance each week by 10 percent.* Remember, your only competition is YOU!

*We advise NOT increasing your running if you are already where you want to be with your mileage. If you do have the personal goal to increase your running, we strongly advise not increasing this mileage more than 10% a week.

WALK/RUN MINI-CHALLENGES

In addition to the weekly challenge posted on social media, we encourage you to have some fun with your daily activity, whether it’s walking or running. Check out our list of mini-challenges below and see how many you can complete during the month.

  • go in the rain
  • run a local race while on vacation
  • have a water balloon relay
  • run or walk to an ice cream shop
  • do your own duathlon — run, then bike or swim
  • go with a friend
  • do your typical route in reverse
  • take a new route
  • go over a bridge

  • incorporate some speed intervals

  • go while listening to NOTHING

  • create an inspirational message with chalk during
    your walk/run (snap a pic and share it!)
