Virtual Live Races

Moms on the Run and Charge Running

How it works

This is not your average virtual race! You choose your route, but through the technology of Charge Running, we'll run LIVE together!
We will use the Charge Running app to track your progress as we run the race LIVE together from your chosen location. Wear an earbud so that during the run, you can hear the LIVE updates and encouragement from our coaching staff.

Before the run, you can use the Charge app to chat and share running selfies with friends and encourage each other. During and after the run, you can view your progress on the leaderboard and “compete” with others as desired.

Instructions for the Charge Running App

Step One: Download the FREE Charge Running App to your phone or Apple Watch
In order to participate in this LIVE virtual event, you will need the Charge Running app. If you do not have an account you will need to create one. You will receive a two week free trial*. We recommend logging into a live class on the app or one of their on-demand runs ahead of time to make sure your phone is tracking your distance.

*If you are already a Charge Running Subscriber, sign up from the event link in your email; If you already have the Charge Running app but your free trial has expired - use the one-time activation code we'll send you via email.

Step Two: Use Our Event Link or QR Code to add the Race to Your Scheduled Run
Normally, an event link or QR code is distributed via your purchase receipt or via email to race participants. If you can't find the link, email info@momsontherun.com and we'll resend it.

Once you find the link, tap on it (we recommend from your phone), then tap sign up.

 This will put the run in your profile under Scheduled Runs.

Step Three: On Race Day
On race day please log in 5-10 minutes prior to the race start time to make sure the settings on your phone are correct so that your time and distance can be tracked. The run will open 5 minutes before the scheduled start time. This will give you time to share the excitement with other runners in the LIVE chat pre-race!

Important Tip: Make sure your wifi is OFF and your Location Services are ON

I loved that I felt like I was at the finish line the whole race. I enjoyed listening to the announcers naming the different finishers as they crossed the finish line along with listening to all the music. It was so much fun compared to not listening to anything or even listening to your own music. It kept you more motivated and a part of the whole race. I wish every race (not just virtual) gave you this option.
