Running Retreat

Our Running Retreats will be back soon. Our running retreat offers a fantastic getaway for you and your girlfriends, or a chance to get to know new running friends! You'll join runners and walkers of all abilities for this inspiring and adventurous girls' getaway weekend. Enjoy running, sightseeing, pampering, recreation and classes where learning is made FUN!  We won't forget the free time so you can relax and refresh. ​The weekend will be led by our National Fitness Director, Olympian Carrie Tollefson. ​All women are welcome!  Moms on the Run membership is not required.

Why Participate in our Running Retreat?

Relaxation.  Community.  Learning.  Connection.  Laughter.
​These things are hard to come by these days, so let's make it happen! Runners of all abilities are welcome. You don't have to be super fast or super serious about running to love this retreat. Invest in your fitness and well-being with this amazing weekend, because you're worth it!
  • We're going to have FUN! This is our primary goal for the whole weekend. We all need a getaway. Visit a winery, relax at a bonfire, check out a new yoga class... there will be some options, so you can choose what you ENJOY!
  • Learn from an Olympian on how to stay focused, how to develop goals and stick with them, and how to balance running with other competing demands
  • Develop new skills and improve your running (become stronger, faster and build endurance)
  • Make new friends
  • Find community surrounded by other women runners
  • Invest in personal growth and self-care
  • Indulge in a weekend away from responsibility

retreat Details

All items are subject to change based on event numbers and speaker availability. All runs and exercise classes are optional.
Sample Schedule
  • 7:30 - 8:30am - Morning Run
  • 8:30 - 9:00am - Boot Camp
  • 9:00 - 10:00am - Breakfast/Shower
  • 10:00 - 11:00am - Speaker/Activity
  • 11:00am - 4:00pm - Day on the town (lunch*, shopping, winery, movie, R&R, spa, you decide!)
  • 5:00 - 6:00pm - Run/Yoga
  • 6:00 - 7:00pm - Shower
  • 7:00 - 8:00pm - Dinner and Speaker
  • 8:00 - 9:00pm - Activity
  • 9:00 - 11:00pm - Bonfire/Social Hour
*Saturday lunch is not included as we will be in town and groups will have options based on their own preferences.

Carrie Tollefson, Moms on the Run ​Fitness Director

Carrie Tollefson is a professional runner, Olympian, and mother of three who joined our team as National Fitness Director in the spring of 2018. 

"I may have come from an elite side of the sport, but I'm also a mom who is just trying to get out there and get a quick 20-minute run in the midst of my crazy day."

Carrie has a lot of experience with running retreats, and more importantly Carrie is FUN! We are thrilled to have her directing of our first annual getaway!
