Coach Kris
Kris is looking forward to being back for a second season as a coach with Oakdale MOTR. Kris started running in college and completed 3 cross country seasons and 3 indoor and outdoor track seasons. She was blessed with wonderful coaches and teammates who helped her learn more and improve her running.
Her undergraduate degree is in Kinesiology with an Emphasis in Health and Wellness, and her masters is in Kinesiology with a focus on Cardiac Rehabilitation. She is a licensed physical therapy assistant and has worked in the past as a Certified Personal Trainer, youth coach for the YMCA, and Girls on the Run volunteer. After college she continued to run, completing 8 marathons, multiple half marathons, and numerous 5k races. Her favorite races are the themed ones! She's also incorporated biking and swimming into her training and has completed 2 triathlons. She looks forward to this spring and summer and getting more miles in with all of you! |
Coach Jennifer
Jennifer lives in Stillwater with her husband, three daughters and dog, and has been a coach off and on with Moms on the Run since 2014. While keeping up with a busy career, she discovered her love of running as her “wind down” time. She then realized how much it helped her serve as a good role model for her daughters; especially when she became a stay-at-home mom. She has run many half marathons, 10-milers (her favorite distance), and 10k/5k runs. She is now an entrepreneur and an active volunteer in her community, but will always prioritize fitness as the key to emotional, mental and physical health, and believes developing these good habits is especially important as we age.
As a coach, Jennifer loves helping others discover or enhance their love of running no matter where they are in their fitness journey. She says, “It’s never too late to prioritize your health! Running and strength training provide the perfect balance for learning how to listen to your body and become your own best health advocate.” As a coach with MOTR she loves learning about the individual goals of each member in order to best help them and enjoys the sense of community that comes from women supporting each other. Besides hitting the pavement with her running shoes and a good audio book, in her free time Jennifer enjoys kayaking, hiking/snowshoeing, day adventures with her family, interior decorating, making meals from scratch, going to the theatre and traveling. |
