Maple Grove and Plymouth Coaches
Meet Coach Marylou
My passion for running started during my college years when I completed my first 5K race. The instant feeling of support, friendship, and community I felt from the other runners is what led to my dedication and love for running. I have completed many races since then! They include many 10 mile races, half marathons and seven full marathons. I have participated in both Ragnar Road and Trail Races and other relays. One of my running goals is to earn a running streak title this year! I live in Champlin with my 3 amazing children and husband. I have been a Registered Nurse for over 25 years and am currently a Nurse Leader on the Birthplace at the University of Minnesota Medical Center in Minneapolis. I absolutely love my job and the compassionate nurses I get to lead and work with every day. A few of my favorite things are spending time with family, running, chocolate, coffee, staying active outside, baking, shopping and afternoon naps! This will be my first year of coaching for Moms on The Run and I am so excited to integrate my passion for running and helping others in my fitness coaching! I look forward to empowering strong women to find the confidence and belief that they are capable of doing hard things and achieving their goals. “Here’s to Strong Women, May We Know Them, May We Be Them, May We Raise Them” |
Meet Coach Hannah
I am so excited to be coaching Moms On The Run! I live in Plymouth with my husband and three daughters and we are a family of runners. I have been hooked on running since completing my first Get In Gear race with my elementary school run club. Running has been a constant in my life and has given me perseverance, tranquility and confidence. I ran through all three of my pregnancies, with kiddos in a giant stroller, and later with my kids by my side training for races. Some of my proudest moments have been crossing finish lines with my girls - now successful runners themselves. More of a middle distance runner at heart - a speedy 5K is my bread and butter race, but you will catch me signing up for all kinds of things from multiple race events, to longer trail runs, to a half marathon. Challenge me to do it and I will probably say yes! I am a NASM certified personal trainer and USATF certified coach and I love sharing what I have learned about our sport with others. I believe in building genuine community, helping individual athletes reach their potential, and celebrating each success, but most of all I believe that running is supposed to be FUN! |

Meet Coach Stacy
Hi, my name is Stacy Severson and this is my 7th year coaching with Moms on the Run! My love of running really developed when I was in college. I was the kid in grade school… and then high school, who dreaded running a mile. I never felt like I “looked” like a runner since I’m 5 ‘3” (with shoes on), and have never been super thin. As I met more runners, I quickly learned that the running community is made up of all ages, shapes and sizes. If you are working to get out there to run, no matter the pace, you’re a runner! I am not a speedy runner, but have lots of energy and endurance and love running 10 mile and half marathon distances. To date, I also have 10 full marathons under my belt. I live in Burnsville with my husband, Matt, our two amazing kiddos, Mara (13) and Lucas (11), our dog Ruby and cats: Chloe, Thor, and Steve Rogers. (My kids are Avengers fans). I enjoy staying active with my family playing some pretty epic hide and go seek tag, or in the warmer weather months a neighborhood game of kick ball or "ghost in the graveyard." I know how challenging it can be to fit fitness into your life when you work and have a family, so I get creative. Sometimes this means running while my kids bike or doing obstacle courses at the park so we can get some strength training in. I work full-time as Director of Enrollment Development at Augsburg University. I coach with Moms on the Run for the amazing friendships, community of women, and incredible support! I love the diversity of women in our group and the variety of experiences they share. Seeing our members reach their goals is completely inspiring to me! I love being a part of helping others find joy in the journey and learn to love to run! |
