Head Coach
Amy Magdalein Coach Amy started Moms on the Run Jacksonville in September of 2017 with the goal of helping women to get moving and to feel good in their own skin again. Her love of running started after having her son in 2010 and struggling to get the baby weight off. Her mom was a long time marathoner but Amy thought running was stupid and boring...until she lost all the baby weight in 4 months and found that running was exhilarating! Over 10 years later, Amy has ran 20 marathons, 50+ half marathons and numerous shorter distance races.
Coach Amy will be the one who will call you when you don't show up, encourage you to stay consistent and help you navigate any aches and pains along the way. She's known for being tough, but encouraging and motivating as she pushes you out of your comfort zone to help you reach your health and fitness goals! Amy's favorite quote: "Hard work is fun. There's something unsatisfying about things that come too easily." |
Meet our Jax Mandarin Team
Assistant Coach Amiee Cords
Amiee began running in 2009 as a way to begin a more healthy lifestyle and soon learned how much she enjoyed the sport. She is an avid marathoner, with over 30 marathons under her feet and several Boston Qualifying races. She joined MOTR in 2017 because she knew getting stronger would help her reach her running goals, but had been struggling with consistency in her strength workouts. She found that MOTR offered the right mix of friendship, encouragement and accountability to help her make strength a part of her regular routine.
Amiee enjoys helping others unlock all the magic running has to offer and loves watching her MOTR friends find the same joy and confidence running has given her. Amiee's favorite quote is, "don't look back, you're not going that way" and she is excited to help you move forward in your health and fitness journey. |
Meet Our Jax Northside TEAM!
Northside Head Coach
Maureen Yarbrough
Maureen Yarbrough

Maureen moved to Jacksonville in 2014 and currently resides in the Yulee area. She is married to her best friend, has two amazing grown children, two awesome grands, and a wonderful grand pup. She and her husband are currently parents to six, yes six, English Bulldogs!
Maureen wasn't athletic when she was young and after many failed attempts over the years, she decided to give fitness another shot. She thought that getting active might help her move through menopause and it’s wonderful (ha) symptoms. 😆 She joined a local gym where running was incorporated into her workouts and before she knew it, she was running 5K’s and soaking up all that she could learn to improve. She has since run two marathons, eight halves, and too many 5K’s to count. She is officially addicted (her own words) and loving the positive effect running has brought to her life.
Maureen is an encourager, a natural leader and an advocate for Health & Wellness. She is a Holistic Nutritionist and a cheerleader for anyone trying to improve their life. She “sees in pictures” and always has her camera out catching special moments and documenting achievements and progress with her MOTR crew! 😍
Maureen’s favorite running quote is, “I never regret a run” as it's helped her to get off the couch and moving when she least feels like it. Coach Maureen is thrilled to be a part of our team and we are excited and blessed to have her! We know she will change the life of our women and sprinkle lots of love along the way! 💜

Assistant Coach Amanda StricklerAmanda was born and raised in Jacksonville, Fl. She has been married for 17 years and has 3 children. 11 years ago running became a way for her to not only lose weight, but a way to gain some quiet mommy time. Their homeschool lunch breaks were her time to clear her head and get in some laps.
The running bug bit and bit hard when she ran her first GRR after only running for 3 weeks. Later that year, she completed her first half marathon. Since then, she has completed countless 5ks, many 1/2 marathons, and 3 full marathons. Amanda loves the community and accountability that MOTR provides. Coach Amanda says “It’s the greatest feeling to cheer each other along as we complete our individual goals!” |
Meet our St johns Team!
St Johns Head Coach
Tiffany DeTardo Tiffany has been with MOTR since the spring of 2018 and has improved leaps and bounds in her consistency and dedication to her health and fitness. She is the consummate support system for our women and is always smiling and taking fun selfies.
Tiffany shared, "I am beyond grateful and blessed to be a Coach with Jacksonville Moms on the Run. These amazing women have inspired and motivated me to become a better version of myself and I am excited to continue to support, encourage and celebrate each of you as you reach and surpass your goals!" Tiffany's favorite quote: "Life begins at the end of your comfort zone!" |
Coach Kathleen (KC) Padget
KC is 66, married for 32 years, has 3 kids and 7 grandchildren! She began running years ago with her daughter Samantha while at the same time maintaining a horrible smoking habit! In 2005, she decided to train for her first marathon in order to quit smoking for good. She ran many 5Ks, Half Marathons and 4 marathons before giving up running for about 10 years due to lung issues and an injury.
In 2019 her good friend, Tiffany DeTardo, talked her into visiting a Moms on the Run social event where she met Ginny, who said “just come out for one run with us”. The next day she was at a long run and from that moment she has loved what MOTR represents and has done for other women and herself. She knows that running will keep her healthier so she can be around a lot longer for her grandchildren. Her goal is to do for others what the MOTR coaches have done for her; helping you find or bring back your love of running. KC has a lot more races in her future and while she is new to coaching, she looks forward to this new season of her life! |
