Moms on the Run is an instructor-led fitness program with coaching to motivate, educate and encourage you on your fitness journey. Whether you’re training for your first 5K, training for a longer distance, or just looking for walking buddies, we have a program for you! You’ll make new friends, find accountability, and have fun while working toward a healthier lifestyle.

RELEASE & RESTORE:
​YOGA FOR RUNNERS

​​With the needs of runners in mind, this class will help you prepare for your weekly workouts, restore your body and calm your mind for the challenges of the week ahead. Keep your muscles long and strong while using yoga to improve breathing, flexibility and core strength.
17 Week Session: May 1 - August 21

Pilates
​ Foundations for runners

​​Our Pilates class will step up your running game! A series of 6-8 lessons will introduce the language and movement of Pilates in a way that will allow you to avoid injury and improve performance by accessing and strengthening your core, and improving flexibility.

What is moms on the run?

​You don't have to be a mom to join - we welcome ALL women, ALL ages and ALL fitness levels. We offer programming for walkers to beginning runners to experienced runners.
​
Work up to your first 5k, build strength to combat aging and help with weight loss goals, increase endurance to achieve longer distance goals, improve speed and fitness and meet new friends all while having fun! All classes include a combination of cardio (walking, run/walk or running) and body weight or small dumbbell/resistance band strength exercises.

Accountability

​Encouragement and accountability are our forte. Over time, you will form friendships that will help you stay accountable to regular exercise, the program and to each other. Our members-only Facebook group provides support outside of class and helps us stay connected. ​

Our PROGRAMMING

At Moms on the Run we love to run - no matter what the weather! We offer a variety of programming to help you stay in shape and stay connected to our strong community of women. Choose a program title below to get more details.
Spring signature Training
Offered in Spring/Summer
Our Signature Training Program will get you to that first 5k or help you improve your speed and endurance.  Choose to attend 1-3 classes per week. We recommend including an interval class at least once a week, which includes a higher level of structure and support. From walkers to runners, women will start at their own level and progress throughout the season.

FALL Strength & Cardio Boot Camp
Offered in Fall
Our Strength and Cardio Boot Camp offers a variety of workout options to help you get fit. We'll help maximize your metabolism by providing run/walk high intensity interval training (HIIT) at your level. Enhance your fitness level by improving strength, muscle tone, speed and agility.

Marathon and Half Marathon Training Plans
Moms on the Run offers training programs to current customers who are training for a marathon or half marathon. Our training plans have been designed by our National Fitness Director, Olympian Carrie Tollefson.

Specialty Classes - Virtual LIVE Offerings
Our specialty virtual classes meet weekly via Zoom with a LIVE instructor. Participants also have access to the classes on demand!

We offer sessions throughout the year, typically 6-12 weeks in length featuring formats such as yoga or STOTT PILATES®. These classes will help you step up your running game, avoid injury and improve performance by accessing and strengthening your core, and improving flexibility.

Interval Training with Strength

30 minutes of cardio + strength & stretching

These classes use cardio intervals to improve metabolism and cardiovascular fitness.  Beginning runners will learn to run, moving from mostly walking to running as they progress, with the goal of completing a 5K distance at the end of the season. Experienced runners will complete 30 minutes of interval training  to improve their running speed and fitness levels, with workouts designed by our National Fitness Director, Olympian Carrie Tollefson. A short strength training component, stretching, and education conclude the class.

ENDURANCE RUN
(or walk!)

Our weekly steady paced cardio workouts are designed to help participants build endurance and either increase their mileage, maintain their running base, or add in an additional interval workout. Participants typically walk or jog for 30 to 45+ minutes with longer options available for those training for a 10K, half marathon or beyond.
