our introductory process
We're looking forward to getting to know you as we explore whether it would be a great fit to do business together! Our team will be dedicating our time to sharing more about our opportunity and we appreciate your effort in following our designated process, which is:
1. When you fill out our franchise interest form (below), we will reach out right away to arrange an introductory call. Our first call will just be 10-15 minutes as we seek to learn more about your interests and motivations for having a business and building a women's fitness community. We will let you know whether we are able to offer a franchise opportunity in your state of residence.
2. If we feel your interests and skills line up with what we are looking for in our franchise partners, we will offer you to participate in a 30-minute Zoom brand presentation within the next few days. Please respond with times work for you 11am-5pm Central Time. We will send you a confidentiality/non-disclosure agreement for you to sign prior to our meeting.
3. Provided you interested in proceeding, we will send you a brief application to fill out. The application will include financial questions since it is important at this step that we confirm you have the financial resources to be successful during the initial investment phase of the business.
4. Upon approval of your application, we will send out our Franchise Disclosure Document and Agreement and invite you to contact us with questions that come up while you are reading through it. Sign and return one of the receipt pages at the back of the document. This does not commit you to anything; it documents the date you received the document for the Federal Trade Commission since it requires a 14-day waiting period.
5. We will setup a call to go through the Franchise Agreement with you during the 14-day period, and our Founder & CEO will reach out to go through any final questions you may have. During this time, we will also help connect you to other franchise owners to ask questions and learn more about their experience.
6. If you decide you want to move forward with opening your own Moms on the Run franchise, and we determine you are a great fit with our Moms on the Run brand, we will do a background and credit check.
7. Pending no concerns with the final approvals, you will be awarded a franchise and your territory reserved immediately upon receipt of your franchise agreement and a $500 deposit.
If you are passionate about fitness and enjoy encouraging women; if you love to create relationships and build a team; you may be our ideal candidate to bring Moms on the Run to your local community. Our team is prepared to guide you in creating a profitable program that lets you do what you love--while making a difference.
With franchising you are in business for yourself, but not by yourself. As members of the International Franchise Association, we regularly learn how to expand the services and support we offer our business owners. We’re passionate about our belief that “Healthy Moms Make Healthy Families," and invite you to be a part of our team!

The general information provided on this site is not an offer to sell a franchise. Our business opportunity can be made exclusively through the delivery of a franchise disclosure document (FDD). Certain states require that we register our FDD before offering a franchise for sale. We will only offer to sell a franchise after we have provided a franchise disclosure document in compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations.

A little over two years ago, I took the risk and became the franchise owner of Shakopee Moms on the Run! It was the best decision I could of made going out of a full-time teaching position to a stay-at-home mom. We are a group of ladies of all ages, sizes, background and ability levels that support and motivate one another, not only in running, but in our personal lives as well. I am so glad I took a leap of faith and decided to do something I was passionate about!

Being a personal trainer, I knew I wanted a way to inspire, motivate and educate women to find the joy in working out. When I became a franchise owner, I found this. I can set my work schedule while also being the mom I want to be to four young kids. I’m showing them you can truly have the best of both worlds, being a small business owner, staying healthy, and being there when they need me.

I’m continuously reminded each time I go to ‘work’ why I love Moms on the Run. There’s nothing more rewarding than helping women reach their running and fitness goals. It’s great that I get to hire my coaching support staff. We’ve created a culture of fun and encouragement for all of our participants!

"I first hesitated to join the MOTR franchise team since the majority of the locations were far to the north of me. I decided to take the leap because I knew the support and guidance from the Moms on the Run team would go a long way in helping me get established. Even though our locations run through different seasons, I receive TONS of support from our National team. Marketing support, system support with financials and web pages, merchandising and just knowing that there are other women out there building the same business I am has gone a long way to keep me confident and on track with my business growth. One location in 2017 grew to two and we are currently helping more than 70 women find fitness, fun and friendship through outdoor movement. I love being a part of the MOTR team and am very grateful for the support and guidance I receive. If you're on the fence, stop waiting -- just go for it!"
