Moms on the Run is an instructor-led fitness program with coaching to motivate, educate and encourage you on your fitness journey. Whether you’re training for your first 5K, training for a longer distance, or just looking for walking buddies, we have a program for you! You’ll make new friends, find accountability, and have fun while working toward a healthier lifestyle

Our cardiovascular interval training classes for all levels include strength training, stretching and education. Our Learn to Run program will help you safely build up to your first 5k race. Walkers and experienced runners, improve your speed and endurance with an interval training schedule designed to maximize your fitness levels.

Signature Training Program (April 25, 2023 - August 27, 2023)

Classes include:
  • Interval Training: Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:00 pm at Kids USA 
  • Wake-up Run: Wednesdays at 5:30 am at Family Fare Supermarket - Downtown 
  • Endurance Run: Saturdays at 7:30 am at Family Fare Supermarket - Downtown 
  • Trail Run: Sundays at 4:00 pm at various trails around Chippewa Falls (will be determined weekly)

MONTH OF MILES, JULY 1 - 31

​​​Join us for a fun challenge to stay motivated and accountable with a regular exercise routine. Our Month of Miles Challenge will help you set goals to increase your mileage a bit each week as you are motivated to move your body every day. Walking, jogging, intervals and running all count toward your movement goal. Even if you're usually a runner, walking is an important part of success in this challenge and is encouraged as a safe way to increase mileage.

This is a personal challenge.  Start right where you're at and work up from there.  It could be .5 miles for your first day, but the point is to make sure to log something!  Try to increase your overall distance each week by 10 percent.*  Remember, your only competition is YOU!

*We advise NOT increasing your running if you are already where you want to be with your mileage.  If you do have the personal goal to increase your running, we strongly advise not increasing this mileage more than 10% per week.

Race with Us This season!

Celebrate Moms Fun Run 5K:
​May 13, 2023

Join us as we celebrate moms during our Mother's Day weekend race: Celebrate MOMS Fun Run 5K. Choose a local location to join in the fun run and after party. 

​Everyone is welcome (not just Moms on the Run members). We'll have a fun run, refreshments, carnations and awesome swag. Our 5K package includes our customized flip flops and foot spa kit, plus a printable race bib.

Moms on the Run 5K/10K/Kids Run: Aug. 27, 2023

The annual Moms on the Run 5K/10K and Kids Run on Sunday, Aug. 27, is a great way to celebrate your summer training season. We are once again in person at beautiful Lake Phalen in St. Paul, MN. If you can't make that date, we also have a virtual option available. 

All women are welcome to join us! This event is fun for all and is not exclusive to members.

INTERVAL TRAINING WITH STRENGTH
30 minutes of cardio + strength & stretching

These classes use cardio intervals to improve metabolism and cardiovascular fitness.  Beginning runners will learn to run, moving from mostly walking to running as they progress, with the goal of completing a 5K distance at the end of the season. Experienced runners will complete 30 minutes of interval training  to improve their running speed and fitness levels, with workouts designed by our National Fitness Director, Olympian Carrie Tollefson. A short strength training component, stretching, and education conclude the class.

ENDURANCE RUN
(OR WALK!)

Our weekly steady paced cardio workouts are designed to help participants build endurance and either increase their mileage, maintain their running base, or add in an additional interval workout. Participants typically walk or jog for 30 to 45+ minutes with longer options available for those training for a 10K, half marathon or beyond.

Trail run


​Our weekly trail running class allows our runners to take a break from the normal running routine and get out and explore! This class option offers a 45 minute run through our local parks and single track trails.  Trail running is a great way to spend time in the woods and nature, while getting in a great workout!

At Chippewa Falls Moms on the Run we love to run - no matter what the weather! We offer a variety of year-round programming to help you stay in shape and stay connected to our strong community of women.
SIGNATURE TRAINING (18 WEEKS)
Offered in Spring/Summer

Our Signature Training Program will get you to that first 5k or help you improve your speed and endurance.  Choose to attend 1-5 classes per week. We recommend including an interval class at least once a week, which includes a higher level of structure and support. From walkers to runners, women will start at their own level and progress throughout the season. ​

STRENGTH & CARDIO BOOT CAMP (8 WEEKS)
Offered in Fall

Our Strength and Cardio Boot Camp offers a variety of workout options to help you get fit. We'll help maximize your metabolism by providing run/walk high intensity interval training (HIIT) at your level. Enhance your fitness level by improving strength, muscle tone, speed and agility.

POLAR RUNNING
​Our winter classes provide an opportunity to ease into winter running and stay accountable through the cold winter months. Each winter session will give you the encouragement and accountability to maintain your running and strength training through the cold and busy Holiday season. Whether you are new to Moms on the Run or a returning member, we will work with you to help you learn to run or maintain your running momentum throughout the winter.

MARATHON AND HALF MARATHON TRAINING PLANS
​Moms on the Run offers training programs to current customers who are training for a marathon or half marathon. Our training plans have been designed by our National Fitness Director, Olympian Carrie Tollefson.
