At Moms on the Run we are deeply saddened to learn of the alarming increase in acts of hate against our Asian friends and neighbors. The recent increases in violence and verbal assaults show a devastating display of a hatred that has no place in our communities and world. It is a reminder that there is much work to be done to create a nation where all people feel safe and welcome.
We all must speak up and act if we are to fight racism in all of the ugly ways it creeps into our society. Actively look for ways to fight hate with love. Be kind. Help a neighbor. Speak out against discrimination. Embrace differences. Seek to learn about other cultures. Appreciate the beauty of diversity. It’s on US to choose unity over divisiveness. Stop Asian hate. We are all in this together.
“No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin, or his background, or his religion. People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite.”
