Moms on the Run National Fitness Director, Olympian Carrie Tollefson, regularly shares training tips to help us strengthen our running, fitness and health, and today she talks about modeling fitness with our families.
At Moms on the Run, our vision is to help women lead healthier lives and model active lifestyles to inspire the next generation of healthy families. When our kids see us getting ready to head out for a run or doing stretches in front of the TV or eating something healthy, that tells them our bodies are important. Right now, we are in the middle of our Virtual Run. This can be a solo activity, a way for you to get those miles in, or it can be a family walk or run, where they do it with you. Getting your kids involved in some exercises and making it fun for them can give them a lifelong love of it.
