While knee pain may be a common complain among runners, multiple studies have shown that regular running strengthens the joints and actually protects against development of osteoarthritis later in life. Last week, our National Fitness Director, Olympian Carrie Tollefson, brought us two exercises to help us strengthen our knees. This week, she's back to show us two additional knee exercises.
One note, do not run if you have ongoing pain in your knees. Seek a recommendation from an orthopedic doctor and/or physical therapist.
