Stay Active, Support Moms on the Run

As shelter-at-home orders are in effect across the country and at all of our locations because of COVID-19, Moms on the Run is adapting its programming so our members can stay active and remain a part of our community. We aim to continue our mission, even virtually, of "Fitness, Fun and Friendship." Remember that Moms on the Run is a small business — actually 51 locations independently owned and operated by 31 different business owners. Please continue to support our owners and take a look at the resources we are offering.

Virtual Team Runs and Hangouts
We know that what makes Moms on the Run ultra special is our community. Each team is a family, and we want to continue to be an encouraging and motivating place for our family members — you! Most of our franchise owners are coordinating virtual group runs and video hangouts. This is a critical way to stay together. Here's what a couple of our members are saying:

"It was so much fun connecting with my MOTR family this morning on Zoom. We were able to connect and check in about how we are being active during this time of social distancing. It was a way to hold each other accountable and motivate each other. I can’t wait until we can run together again but being able to connect on Zoom makes this quarantine not seem so bad." - Sarah B

"Today's run was great! The accountability of connecting and warming up together at the beginning was great. During the run I stayed motivated by knowing I needed to make the post run "meet up" online. It was fun to hear how far people went and how they are doing throughout these tricky times. The use of technology was great to still feel connected with this amazing fun group! During times like this it is even more important to keep moving and I'm glad MOTR is getting creative to keep us connected and running!  Would rather be in person, but using technology is a close second to the accountability to keep moving."  - Rebecca H

We have put together some workouts that you can do at home, led by our National Fitness Director, Olympian Carrie Tollefson. These feature strength, cardio and stretching workouts you can do, in combination with suggested runs. Ask your owner for private access to these videos. ​

MOTRwell nutrition tips
Coach Sarah offers a series of videos and easy nutritional tips you can do for yourself and your families. Behind the videos are further in-depth content (recipes, ideas and information) available only to paid members.

Virtual Run/Family Walk 
Races are cancelled. School is online. Everyone is safe at home, right? You need something fun to do! Show your support for Moms on the Run by participating in our Virtual Run/Family Walk, April 25-May 3, with the theme: Your Place, Your Pace. This will be a fun way to connect virtually as an entire Moms on the Run community. Our package will include a printable bib, a family fun-at-home wellness kit, and an optional shirt. For more information and to register, click here. 

Other things you can do to support Moms on the Run:
  • Register for Spring Classes: For our friends in northern climates, please register for your spring program ASAP, so we can be sure to get you your size and style preference for our new shirt patterns. We are fully prepared with live virtual connection opportunities for our members, if and when they are needed to conduct class. Check out our locations here. 

  • Engage with us on Social Media:  This month more than ever we want to be there for you with inspiration and resources for success at home. Another great way you can support our business owners is frequent interaction on our Facebook pages and by writing a positive review, both nationally and locally. Use hashtags #MOTRstrong and #inthistogether and consider using our profile frame.

  • Shop gear: Help us clean out inventory to make room for new items. Much of our store is on sale! Use promo code STRONGERTOGETHER to save 25% on your order of all sales and clearance items.

  • Sign up for our race on August 23. New this year: we have a long sleeve hoodie! Not in MN? A virtual option is available!

  • Own a business? Consider sponsoring of Moms on the Run. We have great marketing opportunities available to you and sponsorships starting as low as $1,000.
