*This is a change to our previously announced speaker, but you're going to love her!
High performance coach, speaker, trainer and author Dr. Cindra Kamphoff motivates elite athletes, championship teams and business leaders to live and perform to their potential. She has even worked with the Minnesota Vikings and our originally announced speaker, Gabe Grunewald. (Watch Gabe's personal introduction message about Cindra here.) We are excited she will share her passion, energy and expertise in performance psychology with us as our 2018 Celebration Banquet keynote speaker. Cindra will help us master our mindset to become our best.
In life, sports, and business, we experience adversity and challenges daily. Often what’s holding us back is not our talent or our skills, but our mind. With Cindra’s keynotes and trainings, entrepreneurs, athletes, corporate leaders, and high achievers (that’s you, mother runners!) learn more about how to overcome the odds, live with purpose, and play bigger to reach their ultimate best.
Cindra is the author of “Beyond Grit: Ten Powerful Practices to Gain the High Performance Edge.” In her professional work over the last 16 years, Cindra has witnessed her clients master not only an increase in performance, but also in confidence, happiness and gratitude.
Cindra practices performance psychology herself as a competitive marathoner competing in over 13 marathons so far — four of those at Boston. She won the Omaha Marathon in 2012 finishing in 3:05:12.
As a former Division I collegiate runner and track and field athlete, Cindra received a full athletic scholarship at the University of Northern Iowa and received all-conference honors multiple times. But, she admits, she also experienced many disappointments and didn’t reach her personal goals because her mind held her back. She took that passion and, after graduating from Northern Iowa, she received her M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Sport and Performance Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
Currently a professor of Performance Psychology at Minnesota State University-Mankato, Cindra is the Founder and Director of the Center for Sport & Performance Psychology and has a free podcast available on iTunes called the “High Performance Mindset.” Cindra is a Certified Coach and a Certified Consultant with the Association for Applied Sport Psychology. She received the Speakers Academy Award from the National Speakers Association. Some of her current and former clients include Mayo Clinic, NCAA, the Minnesota Vikings, Nike Football Coach of the Year Conference, and Minnesota State University.
