Healthy Holiday Challenge Runs Dec. 21-31

Let's face it — there has been more ho ho hum than jolly this year. Our daily schedules and our holiday gatherings may look a bit different this season, but one constant remains: the need for inspiration and accountability. Enter our popular Healthy Holiday Challenge. In the spirit of doing things different in 2020, we have revitalized this challenge to make it simple, easy and fun.

Our Healthy Holiday Challenge, which will run Dec. 21-31, is your accountability solution to experience the holidays healthy and strong. All are welcome to join in the fun; Moms on the Run membership not required. If you submit your tracker by Jan. 1 (it doesn’t need to be complete; just submit what you have), you’ll be entered to win the awesome Moms on the Run Prize Pack. Prize includes new vest, pom hat and new tank valued over $100.

How Do I Participate?
  1. Click here to sign up by Dec. 21 and pay the optional $5 entry fee. ALL proceeds go to our partner charity, Feed My Starving Children.
  2. Check your email for confirmation and download the tracking spreadsheet. Begin tracking on Monday, Dec. 21.
  3. On Dec. 28, check-in on our Facebook contest post and comment with your answer to the “question of the week.” We’ll conduct a prize drawing among everyone who checks in.
  4. On Jan. 1, submit your completed tracker to be entered to win the grand prize.
  5. We’ll announce the winner on Facebook right after the New Year.

Track the following healthy habits (aim to incorporate two to three habits a day):
  • Water intake: half of YOUR body weight in ounces each day. For example: (if you weigh 200 lbs., aim for 100 ounces of water each day)
  • 2 fruits each day
  • 3 veggies each day
  • No sweets for the day!
  • 30 minutes of movement a day (anything to get your body moving: walking, cleaning, ice skating, playing with the kiddos, etc.)
  • 7 hours of sleep​
