At Moms on the Run, we want to help you create healthy habits all year long. We are in the final days of this year's Healthy Holiday Bingo challenge! Today, Moms on the Run National Fitness Director, Olympian Carrie Tollefson, shares about the importance of sleep. Sleep is critical for energy, brain function, avoiding weight gain, lowering the risk of heart disease and reducing stress. At Moms on the Run, we are in the middle of this year's Healthy Holiday Bingo challenge. Today, Moms on the Run National Fitness Director, Olympian Carrie Tollefson, helps us check off a box on our "non-traditional" Bingo card: Stretches! It's important to take at least 10 minutes after your workout to stretch. It will aid in post-workout recovery and help prevent injury. ![]() Denver Northwest Moms on the Run hosted a holiday light run and toy drive on Dec. 6 to benefit Jeffco Action Center. The small group of runners donated toys for Jeffco Action Center, a nonprofit organization that helps those in the community experiencing hardship and offers the resources and services needed to stabilize lives and promotes pathways to lasting change. Sweat for a Cause: Apple Valley/Farmington Moms on the Run Raise $1,300 for Local Charity12/14/2021 Apple Valley and Farmington Moms on the Run partnered with The Meeting Point for an event on Dec. 8, to raise $1,300 in gift cards for local nonprofit, Moms and Neighbors. Franchise Owner Jenna Allerson posted, "Our goal was to raise $1,000 for families in our community and we far exceeded that with raising over $1,300. 100% of these donations will go directly to the families in need! We're so grateful for everyone who came out and gave so generously and for all of our local businesses who donated to make beautiful prize packs for our four lucky winners!" The Sun Thisweek featured Apple Valley and Farmington Moms on the Run in an article titled "Raising the 'Barre' for a good cause in Rosemount." The trees are decorated, the stockings are hung with care...there's so much going on this time of year. At Moms on the Run, we have just started this year's Healthy Holiday Bingo challenge!
