November may be the month for Turkey day, football and Black Friday specials, but at Moms on the Run, we like to call it MOVE-ember. Today, Moms on the Run National Fitness Director, Olympian Carrie Tollefson, encourages you to join us for a fun challenge from Nov. 1-30. Your goal: To move 30 minutes a day for 30 days. Doing 30 minutes of cardio every day not only will improve your endurance and strength, but promotes stress management, releases feel-good hormones, and helps aid in a good night's sleep. During this challenge, you'll receive four weeks of accountability to complete your goal, a movement tracker, our new Moms on the Run water bottle, and opportunities to win prizes on social media! We encourage you to get creative: vacuum, clean out the garage, scrub the shower, play with the kids — anything that gets the blood pumping! Sign up here and get ready for MOVE-ember! In addition, check out this article by Runner's World. What should you eat before a run? Moms on the Run National Fitness Director, Olympian Carrie Tollefson, shares some ideas of what she eats before she hits the pavement — and how she rewards herself after! Last weekend was Twin Cities Marathon weekend in Minnesota. Congrats to our Fitness Director Carrie Tollefson for WINNING the Women's Masters Division, to our race partner Twin Cities In Motion for putting on an amazing event, and to all of you fabulous ladies who ran your hearts out and left it all on the course — both marathon and 10 mile! We especially loved seeing Jacksonville (FL) Moms on the Run Franchise Owner Amy Magdalein on our St. Paul/Minneapolis course! Check out all the fun photos from our cheer zone.
