back.of.the.pack.runner! Tracy runs with St. Paul Highland Moms on the Run, and we love what she wrote in her post: "I ran a 5K today and haven't checked my time at all. Don't think I will. It's not important to me. What is important is these ladies! Everyone works so hard — and then selflessly cheers and supports everyone else. This is what a team is about. I'm proud to be on this one." She wins a one-hour Restorative Sports Massage and one-hour Nutrition Consultation with a sports dietician at Training HAUS from Twin Cities Orthopedics. Congratulations, Tracy!
![]() by Marey Scully, Brooks bra fitting specialist As moms, we truly appreciate the run. The time to ourselves to step away and enjoy hearing our feet hit the pavement and get some fresh air without telling our kids “don’t put that in your mouth” or “get down from there." Running also gets us out the door to support other moms who want that same escape. Speaking of supporting our girls… How many of you wear two sports bras at once? Chafe underneath the bra band? Get shoulder, back, headaches from your girls bouncing with each step? Insert me, eight years ago, raising my hand to all of these things. As runners, we are told that getting fit to the proper running shoe is the best thing that you can do for yourself. But what about your sports bra?! ![]() This year, in addition to our Most Inspirational Member, we wanted to name a Most Inspirational Coach for our Twin Cities area program. At Moms on the Run, our volunteer and head coaches are critical to the success of our program. At every location around the country, we have amazing women who have a passion and zest for running, who are committed to helping our members class after class, and who encourage and uplift each member — no matter what level they're at. There are so many women who continually impress us, year after year. Christine Berger, coach with St. Paul Como Moms on the Run, is our 2018 Most Inspirational Coach. ![]() Selected from many amazing nominations at our annual Celebration Banquet last weekend in Minneapolis, Molly Wellik is Moms on the Run Twin Cities' 2018 Most Inspirational Member. Read on to find out why Molly, a member of Burnsville/Lakeville Moms on the Run, is so inspiring. In her nomination of Molly, fellow member Ashley Kapsner writes: "There's not a person I know that isn't inspired by Molly. When you meet her you immediately notice her positive, infectious energy and ability to relate to all. She knows no strangers. |
