We couldn't agree more with this thoughtful piece by Alison Barsalona for Women's Running, 5 Reasons Moms Should Totally Run. It's one of our favorites floating around in the running community this week, so take 5 minutes to check it out.
Do you share any of the same reasons for kicking up your mother-runner heels? Tell us in the comments below. And if you enjoy Alison's writing style, take a peek at her related article from a few months back, 5 Great Reasons Moms Make The Best Running Partners.

This month’s inspiring mom is Kendra, a five-year member of the Blaine, MN franchise.
Last fall, Kendra was dealing with her husband’s stunning diagnosis of brain cancer when her stepfather died three weeks after learning he had pancreatic cancer. Kendra continues to make time to run because she knows it’s important to her health and wellbeing. She will serve as a volunteer coach for Blaine in spring/summer 2016 and continues to inspire her teammates, who commend her amazing weight loss journey, positive attitude, courageous coaching and contagious kindness. “The fact that Kendra is able to keep her head up, keep running and keep smiling (most of the time) is a testament to her strength, faith, family and friendships,” says a teammate. Congratulations, Kendra. |
