The statistics are grim. The childhood obesity rates are staggering. Phy Ed programs are being cut, recess time is insufficient, and our children's favorite pasttimes no longer involve movement. How do we get our kids to be physically active for the recommended 60 minutes a day? How can we get them excited about living a lifestyle of fitness?

Kids on the Run will provide you and your school age children the opportunity to enjoy the benefits of fitness and running together. It's a great option for kids who are not in organized sports to stay active. We will be doing cardio intervals that will include games and running on a safe path. We will also provide fun education and incentives to keep your kids motivated.

This class will be geared to children ages 5 to 12, and other family members are not required but welcome to participate. Younger children are welcome at their parents' discretion.

What: 30 minute class consisting of four objectives; education, cardio, games, and motivation. The cardio intervals will be set age appropriately and can be done walking, jogging, or both.

Cost: Punch cards are being sold for $69. For the cost of 7 classes you will be able to attend 8. Another bonus to the punch card is by filling it up will earn you a $10 discount on your Fall or Spring KOTR registration. You are welcome to attend any of the locations and times with the Punch Card and only one punch card is needed for the entire family.
